    Thanks, guys!

hehe. Thanks, Bob. I knew I wanted it to work, but between you and me, I had my doubts as well. It turned out playing better than I'd imagined.

Awesome video Roger! Man it really does look and sound great! It's a rare person that can take sand, cement, perl-ite, water , imagination, frustration , triumph , humor, and some wire and create a amazing sounding instrument and a thoroughly enjoyable and interesting build thread. Congrats again. U da man! Thanks for making it fun! :D

So, any plans to "relic" it?

Great video, and with 100% sincerity, I can say that this is the absolute best sounding
concrete Telecaster I've ever seen. You nailed it, brother! Great job.

Thank you so much, Steve. I truly appreciate that.

Not sure how much more relic'd it could get :p. Thank you, man.

    :D Thanks, Marty.

Man that thing must be loud!
Love the fact you chose to play "Lenny", SRV's most tasteful piece.

    Good job. :)

Ok I'm really thrilled this turned out well, you did a great job and it sounds amazing.

Are you thinking about next year yet? How about you stick with this concrete theme but consider some refinements (sort of a natural progression if you will).

A thinline, maybe pour the front back and sides separate and do a tilt-up construction method, stamped concrete pattern that simulates wood grain, pigment for color, coated in clear epoxy polished to a nice shiny finish.

Wow, it's easy to just throw out recommendations when you aren't actually doing the work.

Great job Roger and nice playing on a difficult song.

Thanks, Thunders. Lenny has always been a favorite of mine.

hehe. Thanks, Mark. I pretty much said the same thing about yours ;)

Easy there, James. I think my concrete guitar days are behind me now. I know it can be done (and that I can do it), so I'll move on to other media

Thanks for the compliments on the song. You'll notice, though, that I quit at the part where SRV starts going off

Thanks, Josh. Congrats on making a new person! :D

Simply fantastic build! I'll bet you never would have suspected it'd sound so good. Your playing is really nice as well. How are you gonna top that next year, hmm?

Dude! Just freaking awesome, It sounds like....well like a concrete guitar. It has a different tone, and not in a bad way. Nice job Roger!

Thanks, Craig. And honestly, I figured it would sound as good as the pickup I put in it. ;) Not exactly sure what I'm going to do next year. I've got some ideas swimming around, but I think they'll sink once I figure out how impractical they are...

    Thanks

Thanks so much, Herb. That really means a great deal coming from you.

 Thanks, Chuck. I really loved the wild, off-the-wall techniques in this year's challenge. I mean come on! Drying a cottonwood stump in the oven?! Who does that?! :D
