An interesting article; I stored it for later perusal.
As per your question, I don't see why not, but I am interested in replies from the more tech savvy in our group. Not sure why you would want a mismatched pair, but that's your business.
A well known Gerald Weber mod is to turn the extension speaker jack of a low watt tweed Fender into a line level output. This is not what you asked about though.
With a handle like Uncle Daddy, I thought you might be a band from Alabama.

So Tennessee has Bama jokes? like Utah has Wyoming jokes or Montana has North Dakota jokes? Who knew. Funny one in any case.

Uncle Daddy, does Essex tell Suffolk jokes? Maybe they tell Norfolk jokes?

NVM. :) You ask a good question. Pending intelligent replies, I’d be tempted to stick to a switch. Two reasons: 1) On my amps, tweeds anyhow, plugging/unplugging speakers is tedious, even tricky. 2) I avoid anything that increases the risk I might power up the amp without a speaker.

I’m sure you’ve seen Rob’s version on that page built in a single-gang (or single pedal) box. That would appeal: eases installation a ton, and allows use on more than one amp (if you stick to amps of safe output).

I did actually build a 10% box; I've yet to test it out fully but it does work. The idea for high and low outputs came to me when I saw Rob's drawing for a line-out mod. I'm thinking about my latest PR build where the outputs are easily accessed.

Other people tell jokes about Essex. There's the "Essex Girl" thing, the equivalent to the "dumb blonde" stuff in the US. For example-

    Q. Why are Essex girls only allowed 30 minute lunch breaks?
    A. It takes too long to retrain them if they take an hour.

It's not been helped by TOWIE, a fatuous Jersey Shore parody, supposedly a reality prog which is completely scripted to make folk from Essex look like lobotomy victims. Unfortunately some unsuspecting young people think it is real, and have started acting like the characters. Shudder.

Uncle Daddy as a character from the True Blood series, a hillbilly of ill repute who was a were-panther. The only shape shifting I've been doing is getting a lockdown belly.

I wasn't familiar with the series.
Still, I didn't miss by much.
Edit: my wife is from Alabama, she says "Uncle Daddy" means that your mama has a new boyfriend.

@FenderLover, I would like to use your schematic and my layout on my webpage. If it's ok is "By FenderLover" good or would you prefer to use part or all of your real name? PM me.

If you had a NFB line, you'd need it from T on the high power, before the 16r resistor, no?

I'm totally going to try this on my Gibson Ranger clone.

On the input side of the 16 ohm, correct.

Thanks again for asking, but I don't need any credit. Take it and run with it. It's all for the good of humanity!

You might want to show a ground connection on the low power output. It's kind of implied with the chassis, but could be less ambiguous if it were connected.

Thanks FenderLover, I'll leave the "By FenderLover" on the schematic and layout unless you'd prefer I remove them.

I was back-and-forth on the second jack ground jumper but at your suggestion I added it.

If I were to tap up the 4ohm tap and swap the EXT socket for a regular one, would you foresee any issues I should thing about?

The attenuating resistors values will be different for a 4 ohm secondary. For a 4 ohm output transformer secondary you would use 6 and 8 ohm resistors.
