As a kid, it was ripping tracks like this that burned the idea into my mind that being a guitar player was cooler than anything else. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is a guitar player!

And still making his guitar cry in 2019, with more tone than ever:

I read an interview with Robert Fripp a long time ago, where he mentioned he visited Robin Trower for blues lessons early in his career. Fripp is not known for his blues chops but no one doubts the man has talent. The 1976 live Trower release is one of my favorites. I recently bought a CD reissue that has very little of the tape hiss that the original LP had. And for the record, James Dewar is an incredible singer.

I'm glad someone mentioned James Dewar. Trower could not have found a better suited singer, writer and bass player to work with. I am partial to the Chrysalis years so apologies to others he has played with.

James Dewar was an amazing, soulful singer. His voice could roar like thunder, or be angelic and beautiful!
