    my own expierence

hey fellows im not rob but ive owned not one but 2 different 40s they were part of my search for the ultimate small tube amp. i found them both to be decent but they were both very trebly sounding. this was both with the internal speakers as well as when in different speaker cabinets. so they did not reside in my stable very long. thats just what i thought yall might like them better than i did ricky ralph

    You got dat right.

I actually did order the GV-40, but in the interim I made a series of amp swaps, so I had Big Brown take back the GV-40 when it arrived on my doorstep. Sorry to all that were waiting for my comments on the Pig.

Finally, after having "tasted" LOTS of tube amps (small, medium and large), I've got a pair of winners that work extremely well for my g'tar playing needs -

A '00 TopHat Club Deluxe (thanx again Chuck!) ...

    ... and a '77 MusicMaster Bass ...

... and now, time to get back to the reason for having great g'tar gear ... playing.
