I had my hands on one of those at GC a couple weeks ago and it seemed very nice. Definitely targeted as a budget Momo case, and probably as good as Fender's high-end softcase, which is also very nice. I can't vouch for its long-term durability, but for $50, you can't go too far wrong. I may have to think about this myself.

That's what I'm thinking...thanks. Likely it would never come out of the closet except for tornado drills, anyway.

I didn't realize it was MF's SDOTD until I clicked on the link. Funny, just this past weekend I was thinking about getting a couple of nice padded softshell cases or gig bags and was starting to look around to see what was available that wouldn't break the bank. I already have too many hardshell cases but need something for some guitars I have that don't fit well into a generic hardshell case.

I have no experience with this brand but figured what the heck, I'll try them out and see what they're like. It seems like a fairly low risk purchase because they have to be better than those terrible Fender gig bags I have and never use.

Me too. :) Mind you, you'll receive yours much faster than me because MF hands their Canadian shipments off to BorderFree and it takes a while for items to cross the border and find their way to me.

Compare/contrast to the monoprice gig bags @$22.99 - anybody?
    https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=603050

As I look closer, it seems like the Roadrunner must be a MUCH better bag. More protective and good features. Nice deal.

Just from looking at the pictures, I'd say the Roadrunner is a much better bag than the Monoprice one. I stopped shopping at Monoprice when the cost of shipping to Canada went through the roof.

I've been using Mono's Vertigo & Sleeve bags for the past 6, 7, years now, but the RR looks like a solid choice - especially for the dough.

The Monoprice bags are garbage compared to the Roadrunners.

I have one ... great deal...
Room for a laptop and gear ...

Not lightweight...but built extremely sturdily ...

    They’re perfectly good mid-grade bags.
I have had 3, for years.
    No issues.

I already posted this in the Bad Dog Cafe thread, but this is useful info:
    • Interior Length: 41"
    • Interior Lower Bout Width: 15"
    • Interior Thickness: 3"
The one thing I really don't like is that the shoulder straps look like they're too low so the guitar will stick up too high if you use the straps. Otherwise it looks like they put a lot of thought into the design such as the double lid which gives you a place to store strings or accessories.

For $50 I’d be all over that if I needed some. Not as nice as my Gator Transit Series. Not as nice as a Reunion Blues. But those are MUCH more expensive. That’s a damned nice $50 bag.

The bottom foam strip and neck holder appear to be removable.

I might be experiencing another wave of GAS. If they had a similar deal on the bass version, I'd consider taking a gamble on one of those too right away. If I like the guitar version once I get it, I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for a deal on the bass, acoustic, and keyboard versions.

I just found a YT review of the bass version. The reviewer does a good job of showing off the features but I had to put it on mute because the background music was so distracting. I learned everything I needed to know in the first 4 minutes and then I stopped watching.

Saw that earlier today and was wishing they'd put one up for a small body acoustic to fit my Yammie. Just went back on, and BAM! Acoustic version up for the same $$. I had almost $70 in points, so win win for me. Lol
