I'm looking to replace the stock nut on my Road Worn Tele with a bone nut. The new nut would be in the form of a pre-slotted blank.

I'd rather not knock out the old nut before I'm ready to put in the new one.

Does anyone know if the nut slot is flat bottom or a 7-1/4" radius?

    Thanks

It's a curved radius on the bottom....at least the one's I've encountered have been.

If it is like my Cabronita then it's worth getting the tusq one where you just sand off the tab if it's curved

My RW Strat neck that I bought off a fellow forum member has a 7.5" radius. Much prefer this with the larger frets.
