    I'm late to the RL party but love his music and style.

    Unreal.

    He has that really deep, one-chord boogie, that draws you in- like a raunchier John Lee Hooker.

    I have ( I think) 2 of his later CD's ( one with the Jon Spencer group) -wild stuff.
    I'm pretty sure he was the opener ( maybe early 2000's, at a MD Blues Festival) for The Susan Tedeschi Band ( pre Derek)
    I should revisit his music, thanks!

    It's certainly not in the video. This one's a little clearer;

    Considerable resemblance to Otis Taylor's "trance blues".

    Love RL....

    The internet was invented just so we could watch that clip. It's one of my all-time favourite music videos ever.

    What

    What a great sound. And no custom shop guitar no boutique amp or pedal
