As part of my research for the perfect Manhattan(https://www.tdpri.com/threads/whats-in-your-manhattan.998746/) I have taken on the thankless, grueling task of sampling whiskey, whisky and scotch. I've put in many hours of diligence, taking one for the TDPRI team, and I'm still not ready to publish my results, but boy, did I come across a winner of a rye. This is hands down the best rye for the price. It's very likely in the top 5 for whiskey for the price, and it's in my top 5 whiskeys of current favor. That's for scotch, Irish whiskey and bourbon combined. How did I overlook this stuff? It's too good for a Manhattan and is best sipped neat in front of a roaring fire on a cold winter's day.
