Always my favorite James Bond, but Ramirez in Highlander comes in a close second. His role in "The Untouchables" was fantastic as well. One of the all time great actors and an icon in my childhood as well.

One of the rarer breed of actors who could do the big movie star pictures, like Bond, but also nail it acting-wise with films like The Hill and The Offence.

The Hill (Sidney Lumet!) is a good one. 'The Name of the Rose' is another, you might have missed.......

    Great actor.

But as a person, he was evidently from another time. Perhaps his early life hardened him to the point he didn't care what people thought of him. I guess the thing to do is focus on his impressive book of work and try to ignore the other stuff.

Possibly the funniest joke I've heard in my life involves Sean Connery.. But I can't print it here!

He will be missed, great actor and man

I know so many loved him for Bond but it was his more off-rolls that I appreciated from Zardoz to Darby O'gill and The Little People. The acting world has lost a great one. You will be remembered by many sir.

    Oh man.

One of my favorite actors of all times.

A man's man, and a role model for generations of males to follow.
(From a time when that was a good and admirable thing.)

    Rest in peace, Mr Connery.

Three of my all time favorite characters- Ramirez in Highlander, Dr. Jones in The Last Crusade, and John Mason in the Rock. RIP Mr. Connery.

Me too! As cheesey as it is, it is one of my "must watch" movies, meaning if I see it playing while flipping through the channels, I have to watch it. So many quotable lines!

Yes, that's true for sure. Talking to a friend today who grew up with Connery Bond, but says he wouldn't let his kids watch them now. Times change.
