He played a role in a 'Alamo' miniseries as a nut, and it took me about 5 shows to realize it was him. Very talented and underrated actor

My wife watched that miniseries. Liotta appearing in it was a great bit of stunt casting -- I couldn’t believe it was him when they shaved the beard off that character!

Really sad to hear this. While he never matched his performance in Goodfellas he was a terrific actor. I loved his acting in a small but memorable role in Killing Them Softly.

Ray was intense and had that down cold. Check him out in "Something Wild". It's a B movie from 1986 worth watching.
