Nickadermis (Eric R. Jamison) died on January 16, 2020, having endured pancreatic cancer for a couple of years. He was 54, single and had no children, though he was close to his extended family.

About a year ago, he was willing to drive 50 miles to meet William Tele and me for breakfast in Kansas City, at an ungodly early hour, after I had dropped my wife off at the airport. Though he didn’t mention it in detail then, he later told me that he had barely escaped death a few months previous, but that his participation in a clinical trial of a new drug seemed to have extended his life.

Eric carried on a family construction business of designing and building greenhouses for institutional clients, primarily schools and colleges, all over the US.

He was a wonderful person, and I will regret that I didn’t spend more time with him.

Sorry to hear about this I wish his loved ones family and friends well

Although I’ve never met any tdpri member in person i consider many people here friends that can touch and impact people whether it be entertainment, knowledge, discussion or just sharing a common joy

    It’s always a shame

We knew this was coming, he’d been open about his situation. His bravery in the face of this horrible disease was inspirational. I’ll always remember that.

Sorry to read of his passing, he seemed like a very kind and compassionate person, always offered positive thoughts to others who were having issues while never complaining of his own.

I was afraid of this. I almost started a thread a couple of times this week asking about him but decided not to. I didn’t want to know the answer. Sorely missed. What a great guy.

Damn. Losing Paul In Colorado was a punch in the gut, and I'm feeling the same way now.

Hurts the heart. His openness and courage was inspiring and sad. We've got to beat this cancer thing.

    Rest well, Eric.

I am sorry beyond words to hear this. Last September he wrote to a fellow forum member who’d been through a health crisis: "Get out there and soak up this new lease on life ! Every little bit is precious”.

I’m sure he lived the last part of his life with this insight in his heart, and I hope he enjoyed every last little bit as his illness would allow.

    Godspeed Eric.
