I always was a big fan of "Mythbusters", it was for years and years my favorite program to watch on TV.

I just learned that Grant Imahara, who was one of the co-hosts of the show has died from a brain Aneurysm at 49 years old.

Rest in peace you knowledgeable one and thank you for all those years of good quality TV.

That’s terrible . He was a very cool and very smart guy. Hell - he made Geoff the Robot for Craig Ferguson !

That's a tough one. I wonder if he was raising a family.

I saw him once walking on a sidewalk in SF. Said "hi" and I threw out the idea of mythbusting steroid use and baseball abilities since the current headline news was about Barry Bonds and his supposed steroid use. I got a laugh out of him. He was actually with the "B" team. They all seemed like they were off to lunch having a good time. Two xmas's ago my sister had a birthday party and Adam Savage showed up as a friend of a friend type of thing. Seemed like a decent guy. I got the feeling that he liked being the center of attention a bit. Supposedly there are some kind of assault allegations against him now. I also ran into the Jamie guy a couple of times. He seemed like a real dick. Wouldn't even acknowledge a "hi" which is all that I said to him as I was passing by walking on the sidewalk. Just stared straight ahead as if he was the only human being on the planet.

Wow. This is truly sad news. Im a genuine myth busters enthusiast. I’ve seen every episode and that show is responsible for my love of science as I watch it growing up. Hate to hear this

Aneurysms are awful. A mechanic for a place I worked died from one two months before he was going to retire

And one my best friends survived surgery for one about three years ago. Hers was really bad, like a barbed wire into her brain. She had a really hard time finding a doc to even touch it. It was brutal surgery , I wont go into the details but at a follow up a year later they found another one.

She won't survive another surgery so now she's living knowing she has a time bomb in her head. And it probably will go off sooner rather than later

Grant Imahara was one of the draws to Mythbusters for me. He was just so bright! I was sad to hear of his death. Rest In Peace, Mr. Imahara.

    - On Adam Savage
Yes the guy likes the spotlight a little too much for anybody's liking but he's pretty much an excitable puppy. As for the assault charges, they came from his stepsister who has a history with mental issues and has brought out false allegations against other family members before.

I'd say one of the funniest episodes of Mythbusters was when they tested the myth that if you use a latex mask you can pass off for somebody else. They had Adam and Jamie dress up as each other.

There is a moment in that episode when Jamie was giving a narrative about how tough it was to copy somebody's body language. But as he was doing so, Adam was doing a dance routine wearing the Jamie outfit in the background, it was hilarious.

    RIP

That makes me feel old. Because I though he was a “kid”. A brilliant man, but a kid never the less.

He was actually older than me.

Sad to get taken young like that.

But in the spirit of his work, I don’t suppose news of his passing was greatly exaggerated?
Many need to see evidence before believing...

Such a sudden loss is devastating to loved ones, hope they are all OK.

A woman I know survived a brain aneurysm, because when she told her boss she had a headache and described how bad it was, he sent her to the Emergency Room immediately. That order (and the medics) saved her life.
