    OMG, who's next? Tony the Tiger? The Michelin Man? The Pillsbury Doughboy? The Trix Rabbit? Cap'n Crunch? When will the carnage end?

    Reminds me of this number my Gram would sing us:

    A peanut, sitting on a railroad track;
    Thinking about his mother-
    Along came a train, and rolled him flat!
    Toot! Toot! Peanut butter!

    You all are missing the obvious here. Notice how the California Raisins seem to be conspicuously absent ? I smell a cover up here.......

    when I was a kid, you could collect several Planters Peanuts wrappers and mail them off to the company, and they would send back some kind of Mr Peanut item. I did it a few times; the Mr Peanut pen was my favorite.

    It is a bit like if egg yolk flavour invaded mayonnaise with a bit of mustard and vinegar as back up

    English tradition I cannot explain

    I know that when you crested the hill on us 101 going into San Francisco just past Candlestick Park, the big Mr. peanut sign gave you confidence you were on the right road or you had missed the exit for the game. RIP

    Sad. You coud always count on Mr. Peanute to bring a touch of dapper class to a nutty word. RIP Mr. Peanut.

    Mr. Kraft Heinz did it in the study with a candlestick.
