I can hardly believe it. Mr. Peanut is dead. I am devastated. I’m going to miss him and his top hat, monocle, white gloves, cane and spats. He was an inspiration to me and when people asked me “What, are you NUTS?”, I’d always look them straight in the eye and say “Yes. Yes I AM nuts.” I love you, Mr. Peanut. Nobody did it butter.

    But.

Is the K-Mart in Wasco still there? Or, has it closed.

Btw, I think J-Lo's sweetie (some ball player) had Mr. Peanut killed off. He resented being upstaged by the leaping Peanut Mobile like that.

Or Selma. The Almond growers knocked off the California Raisins so I wouldn’t put it past them.

    Maybe it was Dickey Betts.

It couldn't have been the Allmans.

    I don't know.

I had a plastic Mr Peanut Piggy Bank when I was a kid. This is kind of bothering me.

    My first job...I was 15.

I wore a six foot fiberglass Mr. Peanut "shell" and roamed a grocery store handing out little sample packs of Planters Peanuts.

I kept getting attacked by little kids, and assaulted by elderly gentlemen. I damn near gave an elderly woman a coronary by coming up behind her.

She turned around and screamed. Then I screamed. Because the little hellions found me and attacked en mass. I knew that if they got me on the ground I was done for.

Thank god Planters gave me a cane...it saved my life!

I only did it once. Once was enough.
