I saw this over at TalkBass and thought I’d share since he was active here. Mods if it’s redundant feel free to delete…

I noticed his absence, always enjoyed his posts and interactions.

RIP @Killing Floor

Didn’t “know” Steve, being of the non-Bass persuasion, but can attest that over many years hanging around here that there are many, many voices I appreciate regardless of my actual interaction or connection. I know what this place means to me, whether or not I have much of interest to contribute. I’ve learned so much from those that do, and it saddens me greatly when a voice is silenced.

Probably projection on my part, but I’d say even parts of this community around the edges greatly value all who come here, all they contribute, all the experience and knowledge they share, all the things that keep us coming back. Condolences to the family that knows this place was part of his life too - and to all that knew him.

Oh Damn!!!
I've been wondering where he's been and just thought he was on a hiatus.

I spoke to KF quite extensively last year on the direct messaging; he was over here in Scotland (Edinburgh and Glasgow) last March for a week with his wife and daughter and I had given him some suggestions on places to visit and dine.

He'd taken me up on a few suggestions and thanked me almost immediately after being there.
Just after he got back home he DM-ed me with the words "Looking forward to going back soon for a longer stay"

This feels like losing a friend.

RIP Killing Floor.
