Passed away at 85. Darn it. We have lost so many great singers of my lifetime the past few years.

I absolutely adore Connie Smith-- she is my favorite female country singer, followed closely by Leeann Womack and Leona Williams, not necessarily in that order--but this also makes me sad in a way.

There's so much junk on the internet (Just saw where Leonardo Dicaprio tragically died) (but he ain't dead) anyway, I read where Ms. Smith isn't doing well. She's 86 I believe so that could be true. I sure hope they got it wrong this time, and that she's IS doing well.

Oh, what sad news! She will be so missed. Shed given so much to Country Music over the years. She was definitely one of Country Music's female Legends! RIP MS. Seely.
