Rest in peace Harold Ramis. Ghostbusters, Vacation, Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, Animal House, Stripes. Your writing, directing and acting is responsible for much of the laughter in my life.

A lot of stars pass and I say "whatever" but I am truly sorry to hear this. He was an awesome straight-man. He exuded humour and did it with a straight face. Talented comedian and a great writer. I guess he's going to meet John Candy, Gilda Radner, John Belushi, et al, in the great improv in the sky. RIP.

I remember when I was a kid and we'd all read the LA Times at breakfast and often I see my grandma in tears while reading the obituaries and I thought "oh man, he was like 70 or 80 or 90, what is the big deal?"

And now I'm past 50 and I see names that I remember as young and fresh and wonderful and amazing and now they are gone....

Sid Caesar makes you remember, Harold Ramis makes you hurt.

Such a great, both in front of and behind the camera.
It's a big loss; glad to have his body of work to enjoy.

Groundhog day every February - must see for me.

RIP Harold; you'll be sorely missed.

Animal House, National Lampoon's Vacation, and Groundhog Day are 3 films I will always stop and watch if I stumble across while flipping channels. He left an amazing body of work.

    Well said.

Man, that's sad. "Autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis" isn't something I've ever heard of.

I believe for lunch I shall have a 35' Twinkie in his honor.
