    Sorry to hear that, but he died doing what he loved. I saw him with the Ventures in the early 80’s. The first record I ever bought was Sandy Nelson Live in Las Vegas (I was a drummer). I remember reading the liner notes and Gerry McGee was the lead guitarist. First I ever heard of him.
