The glue that held together the greatest band ever in spite of the chaos that surrounded it all.... Every bit the visionary John and Paul were and the more grounded, mature guiding hand... A sad day for sure.. RIP Mr. Martin

Just reading "The Beatles' Recording Sessions." George Martin is everywhere, doing everything! They truly would not have accomplished what they did without him!

    A great Producer/Musician!

As I stated in the other thread related to George's passing - he really knew how to get the best out of the Beatles. I agree with the fact that he was a producing genius. RIP - George.

What a musical partnership Sir George Martin had with the Beatles. Quite extraordinary. It was something rare and beautiful to behold. I'm sure the Beatles appreciated all of his insight and wisdom.

    RIP.

Musician, composer, producer, genius. His ability to translate the Beatles' ideas into music was brilliant. A real giant, and greatly underappreciated.

Proud to be a fellow alumnus of the same music school as Sir George - he was at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama exactly 50 years before I was. Vale.

This has always been one of my favourite Beatles tracks and George Martin's piano solo in the middle is completely unexpected, incongruous and perfect.

For those of us who were alive when the Beatles struck the world, its hard to overstate how important to popular music and the western culture they were, and how important to the Beatles George Martin was. RIP GM.

    RIP George.

We might have known of The Beatles without him, but not as we do today.
