I just got back from Heart & Joan Jett...Anne Wilson broke the news & dedicated a song to his memory. The Beatles will always be my favorite rock band, so that tells you what I think of George Martin's greatness. Thank you for everything, George!

The Beatles' story would've been very different without his skill, knowledge and open mind.

As I posted in the other thread, I'm very sorry at this sad news. A talented musician and producer, whose influence on contemporary music was profound. 90 isn't a bad innings, so farewell then, Sir George, and thank you.

RIP Sir George,I wonder if he ever knew just how much he helped shape and influence modern music or how much he was appreciated for doing so. A true genius is gone, may he rest in peace.
