    Perfect member for the band he was playing for. ZZ Top was always different from the rest, even when they played disco. He held it all together. Go get some rest, Dusty. Must be devastating for the other two...

    They did a show without him last Saturday. Their guitar tech Elwood filled in on bass.

    Amazingly, it was the first show Dusty missed with that band in 52 years. What a run.

    wow.... saw zz top in 84 at a venue in the Bible belt. pretty sure I was the only one who 420 lit up during the show.

    anyway, here's a fender promo vid of Dusty talking about a bass he acquired in a pawn shop, ages ago.
