    Like Hendrix's Strat,
where the treble side of the bridge pickup is closer to the neck than the bass side.

    * Anyone have any clean playing examples of this, or links to it??

    Ty!

I do it to balance the bass with the treble because the lows can get overpowering when too close. I adjust the treble to where it sounds best and i usually drop the bass side lower and find where it sounds best w/o overpowering everything else.

    .

I have a Strat with a reversed bridge pickup, HSS body so it's easy. It changes the tone as you'd expect, beefier highs, more mids in the lows.

Find an HH Tele body and a LH bridge plate and you should be good to experiment

Do you still have somewhat of it good to great Tele bridge pup tone?

(understanding that tilting it will lessen a little bit of that too-bright tone)

Ty. Boy thru the decades I have done my big share of experimenting on telecasters and stratocasters!

I'd really like it if anyone had any videos of them clean playing with the bridge pup slanted like that, or links to.

Both my Telecaster and my self-assembled partscaster have "left-hand" bridges. I do it to decrease (slightly) the brittle brightness I don't like about a Tele.Yes, you have to do additional routing.....and, as a reminder, you have to switch saddles if using compensated saddles. Just use a set of right-hand saddles when installing. This is my partscaster, with Bootstrap Pickups and a Warmoth conversion neck.
