I recently bought what was listed as an Awesome MIJ Tele with Lollar pickups, fresh setup by a top tech, yada yada!

Well today it finally shows up, let her sit for about 4 hours to acclimate. Once we opened her up, and I say we as in my Brother, the first thing we notice is the neck humbucker is hanging by 2 front screws in the pickguard?? And noticed the screws holding it in are a different size to the back 2 that are not attached to the pickup! Plus a bunch of pick rash that wasn't noted in the listing.

Punched in the Return for Refund button, which go's straight to the seller, in turn he sends me a decline full refund and sends me $200.00 and tells me that it had to happen during shipping and the $200.00 should cover fixing it myself! WTF?? Now What!

I finally found where to get a hold of them. They're looking into the matter?

Oh yeah, but your not looking for a problem when this is what he wrote in the listing,,

If you are familiar with Made in Japan Fenders, then you know the craftsmanship of this instrument is top notch! Add Jason Lollar pickups in the mix, and you have yourself one of the finest left-handed telecasters available on the market!

This decked out Fender 70's Tele has all professional installed upgrades! The guitar was recently set up by an accredited local luthier! It features an alder body with the iconic oversized Tele Custom pickguard! It has a comfortable C-shape maple neck and plays like a dream!

It cost over $1,800 to get the guitar where it is today. The tone of the Lollars and natural sustain of the instrument are a fantastic match! This guitar needs a good home and is in AMAZING condition. So much so that I bought a brandy-new Fender hardshell case to ship it safely in.

Let me know if you have any questions! Check out my reviews and buy with confidence!

Once I went back and really looked at the pic of the body, I can see a little of the pickguard that the pickup was hanging in. So this guy knew exactly what he was selling. And I asked for a refund, and in no more than 10 min's the guy refunded $200.00 unquestioning my find??

Brother, it isn't that bad, but it's the principal of the matter. But if I end up keep it, it will have cost less than a grand for a MIJ Tele.

Yeah, my Brother said screw it, lets pull it apart to make sure they didn't strip the holes in the pickup and take the $200.00!! I'm one armed, so I'll watch.

That's it!! Now look at the bottom right of the humbucker, you can see a little of the white showing from the pickguard, looking like it was all ready hanging.

Are you complaint about pick marks on a used guitar?

No, but if I sell a guitar, I throw everything in the listing the buyer is not aware of. And these pick marks are deep into the pickup cover too. I've never seen a pickup cover that gouged up, unless your using a metal or brass pick. Really makes no difference now, the guitar is staying!

Got a hit with reverb in the address and... there it is. :D
