I was scrolling through Craigslist the other day and I saw my first partscaster build up for sale! I'm the sentimental type, so I had to buy it back. The guy selling it turned out to be the same guy I sold it to 10 years ago.
It was definitely my Telecaster- I'd recognize sloppy soldering job anywhere:

How did you make out on the deal compared to 10 years ago?

    I like that paisley pg.

I think I paid $25 more than I sold it for. I think of it as a $2.50 annual storage fee.

He's gotta charge you for the polish and the cleaning, it's only fair.

    Cool!
I’ve done that once or twice, too.

    Very cool.

I got my first guitar back after a 20 year gap (it was passed around the family a bit), and while it's not my favorite guitar I own, I am very glad to have it back.
