I, too, have NEVER played.....I'm afraid I might like it too much.
I just don't have the time or disposable income to go chasing a little white ball around a park, as appealing as that sounds.
I'm surprised no one has yet quoted Mark Twain's (alleged) summation of golf....."a good walk, wasted."

I've never played it either. I have played mini-golf, but the local courses look pretty dire and poorly maintained, not to mention pretty boring and lacking fancy turns.

......unless, of course, you're already wasted ON the walk!......;)

I go walking alot also maybe enjoy that more, my mates say if no golf they would not walk very far is boring.

I suppose its the old saying is what suits one does not suit another, even if i play bad i still dont mind golf though many different shot and ideas needed, and it makes one realise life is never that easy at times.

As a teenager I used to walk to a friend's house about 3 miles away. I always took a few balls and a 7 iron. It really made it more enjoyable. I can't remember my record but I always tried to beat it.

The whole thing. Years ago I watched Eastwood do the exact same thing...threw his entire bag in the water, clubs and all. He then sat in the cart fuming before going into the water to pull the bag out, remove his keys from the pocket, and throw it all back in the water again.

When it comes to golf, we think alike.

Clint Eastwood ? hahaha I can see him doing that...then gathering his composure, somewhat, to retrieve his keys.

Well the new bag was a success (it has an insulated compartment for beer).
My son and I got paired up with a nice enough guy. A few holes in my son asked what that crazy guy's name in the RED movies was.
    John Malkovich!
Of course it wasn't really him but this guy was as close as it gets.
"You guys wanna share some hemp?" he asked after firing up a fatboy.
