Sad, sad news. My condolences to his friends and kin.
I'm sorry too.
R.I.P. Mr. Terry. My condolences to his family and friends.
Sometimes it all feels connected. I was writing an ongoing column for a guitar magazine in the states and Jimmy had agreed to be interviewed by me. I emailed him back about setting up a date and time but didn’t hear back. I figured he had more important irons in the fire.
Then, Christmas week I came upon a busker one night as I was walking along the Thames here in London. He was playing Wicked Game. When he finished I stopped to give him a tip and tell him how much Jimmy meant to me.
The next I heard was that Jimmy had passed.
People go. People go on.
Uh boy, such sad news to read here. Joel was one of the titans of the TDPRI, I always enjoyed what he had to say. I only wish I had known him personally; he seemed to be such a great guy. Thank you Johnny for posing up your loving and kind words... such a sad duty to have to carry out.
I wish peace and comfort to all those here and elsewhere, who knew Joel personally and are now grieving. May his light shine on...
Yes he was a titan to be sure. Thank you
Such sad news. RIP Joel.
I haven't been here in ages and this is the first thing I read. I am crushed.
Joel was intricate to the fabric of this forum all those years ago. His writing, musings, knowledge. . .
I'm sorry you lost your friend, Johnny. I'm sorry the world lost Joel.
Such a devastating loss. Peace, brothers.
Thoughts and prayers to his wife, family and many friends. Rest in Peace, Joel. You made a positive difference.
Whoa, this is so sad to hear. I did not known Joel personally, but at some point he friend requested me on FB and I remember him commenting on some of my posts. Sadly, I haven’t checked in here too often, and life on FB is such that sometimes you don’t see people’s posts all that often as they get lost in the algorithm shuffle. So it only dawned on me now seeing this, that I haven’t really seen him around FB either.
My condolences to his family, friends, and all that knew him on some level. He seemed like a unique human being and certainly a kind soul. Rest In Peace, Joel.
sorry Johnny.....RIP Joel Terry thank you for sharing your time with us all
Sad to hear it.
I really enjoyed his posts.
So sorry about this. Condolences to all his friends and family.
