Sadly TDPRI has recently become a extreme time bandit.
I got things to do and lotsa guitars to play....
There’s just no checking in quickly at the moment
Working fine now.
it takes me 20 minutes or more to even open the site. Takes 3-5 minutes just to change from one page to another. Tried to find a photo on My Media, gave up after 40 minutes (3 pages).
Seems to be somewhat sporadic now. Just a couple of minutes ago the site was painfully slow, but right now it seems to be business as usual again. Here's hoping
... I probably shouldn't have written that. Looks like I jinxed it...
Yes, it's working.
No it's not.
Yes it is.
It's been another one of those days.
Might just be time to go melt some solder...
Wow, warp factor boosted!
Ok, maybe not.
it started so good - now it's back to flat tyre, push the bike.
Really slow. I gave up trying to post things last night.
"obviously a major malfunction"
This site is too much of a treasure trove of information to have the problems it's having. It's not reliable.
I'd love to hear technical details.
Are you running on a cloud provider like AWS, GCP, or Azure?
Do you have frontends with load balancers?
What is your database backend? Do you have read replicas ? Check out Amazon Aurora for something that makes an auto-scalable DB with a MySQL interface.
Are you succumbing to frequent DoS attacks?
I too treasure this site but don't speak that tech language. I'm just really happy to see it running more or less normally this morning. I hope it continues.
Very slow, almost unusable just now. Takes a minute or so just to log in
It seems to be hit or miss. Fine right now for me but not earlier today.
You've got to deal with the corrupted site or we are all gone...
Yeah that'll get them going on it. Have you not read the hundred other threads about the site issues? Try and keep up. Website upgrades and server migrations sometimes take time and don't always go as smoothly as one would like. You're not speaking for me BTW so saying "we are all gone" is not quite correct. See ya.
