No big deal to replace speakers, however, this illustrates the new circuit board design in the Peavey Classic 50 212. Note that it is no longer the three piece folded circuit boards, but rather a single board. I did remove the chassis to install the speakers. In order to remove the chassis, you have to remove the reverb tank first, then undo wiring straps between the reverb tank and the chassis.

The chassis is held in place by 8 bolts that you simply remove while the amp is upside down or face down. You must be careful not to rip the tolex when sliding the chassis out. Just slide it out, do not lift.

This gives you full access to the speakers.

I installed Webers. Blue Dog and Silver Bell 50 watts each, 8 ohm wired in series. Big improvement over the Celestion OEM speakers.
