Maybe a stupid question, but does the Kluson deluxe tuners would fit in the Fender Jason Isbell neck? Like a direct replacement?

I want to change the tuners for the ones with the plastic buttons for a build, that’s why I’m asking.

Why do you want to do it? Just curious
I love the one it has on

I’m building my first tele, bought the Isbell neck, guitar mill body, etc. And I want to paint it in some shade of red with matching headstock. Basically building a tele inspired by a Flying V, the guitar that I’ve wanted since forever, actually a Hamer Vector KK Downing signature (Judas Priest ex guitarist).

I think it will look cooler with the off white buttons, like the Macmull in the picture, but with aged white pickguard.

Great look
Even when I think to a couple of hums my brain take off with the automatic mode and thinks only to set necks (in my small brain I made space only for single coils with twang therefore bolt neck and hums w/o twang therefore with set necks)

What I’m trying to do, is to make the Flying V in a T style, actually is going to be a Esquire, I bought a La Brea pickup, aged white Esquire pickguard, going to paint it red with matching headstock.

Im a Floyd rose hot rodded Strat player, this is my first T style guitar, but after a long research, I think that a Esquire with eldred wiring is more focused on what I like to play and to the bands I’m playing at the moment (one country/classic rock and the other band playing classic hard rock/classic metal)

I suggest you not to use super hot pickups

If you come from super Strat with high output and whammy you will like the response especially if the bridge pickup without tremolo: means huge dynamic

Probably not a straight swap. You may need to source some additional bushings.
The Isbell tuners are Fender/Ping with 9.2mm bushings and 6mm posts.
The WD 'Kluson' Deluxe https://www.wdmusic.com/kluson-6-in-line-deluxe-series-tuning-machines-details.html are 8.8mm bushings and 1/4" (6.35mm) posts.

Can I use the Gotoh 9.2mm bushing with them?

Actually, I want to buy some Gotoh SD91 M5 tuners (with ivoroid buttons) but I can’t find any for sale, not new, not used, everywhere is out of stock, I wonder if they still make them?

Im more a Hotrodded Strat (Fender style, HSS pickups, paf style humbucker,) more than a real “super Strat” like a Jackson Soloist.

I prefer low output humbuckers, on my #1 I have it loaded with Suhr SSV at bridge position, series/split/parallel miniswitch, and I REALLY like the SSV humbucker on split mode.

I don’t know how hot the la brea is, I hope it’s just a little more than a vintage single coil, without being extremely hot like a Quarter Pounder.

Here’s a pic of my #1 just because I love that thing:

They should fit. Any bushing with 9.2mm O/D and drilled to 6.5mm for 1/4" (6.35mm) posts.
