There's lots of replacement bridges out there for the 6 hole "vintage"-style bridge on MIM strats. I have yet to come across a replacement/upgrade bridge for the two-post bridge used on the Player Series strats. Anybody found one? From what I understand, the post spacing is different from the MIA strats, but I could be wrong. At any rate, if anyone has found one that works, please let me know!

I put an American Pro Strat bridge in my Player Strat body, it has the same spacing, the Pro has a pop in trem arm and a steel block. Just looked on eBay some have sold recently as low as $59 + shipping and tax, currently there are few around $78 +ship and tax

Are you finding the bridge lacking? I've been down the hole of replacing perfectly good MIM or MIK stuff with MIA and not getting a lot of return for my investment.

When the Player Strats first appeared there were quite a few assembled with American Standard Strat bridges. I guess that the manufacturer of the regular bridges (Ping, Taiwan) couldn't supply enough.

Actually, the bridge is fine. It's the tremolo block that's lacking. Pretty lame little block, and the screw in bar is a pain. I'd like to either get an upgrade block that has the ability to add the little tensioning spring in the bar hole or get a Pro tremolo with the pop in bar. Tired of the play in the bar with no real way of fixing it other than plumber's tape.
