I wish to officially lament the day in the mid to late 80's that I sold a beautiful blonde 70's Tele that I didn't know would be so damn cool 25 years later. Played it though a Silverface Super Reverb. Man was I dumb.

I traded my 76 Sunburst Tele for a Sho Bud pedal steel...getting rid of both of those was dumb. Traded the Sho-Bud Maverick for a 88 Martin D-16A...now that was a smart trade

Shall I list all my regrets? I wish I still had these.

    1960's Les Paul jr.
    1966 D-18 Martin
1970's Tobacco Sunburst Les Paul Standard
    1970's John Lennon Rickenbacher
1960's Fender Concert amp (brown tolex)
1960's Tele with the real Gene Parson's B-Bender

    Oh jeez. Now I'm depressed.

50's Les Paul Junior at a Garage sale circa ~72. Didn't wnat my dad to buy it 'cause it wasn't shiny enough. Would up with a Gibson Marauder. It was shiny.

For me, it's an amp, 1967 Fender Bandmaster silverface head, found on the side of the road, old man had it out with the garbage, my dad stopped to pick it up and the old man said give me $25 for it. According to my tech, he said it was basically a blackface circuit with a silver faceplate. New caps and a transformer and it was good to go. Played it for a while then had it modded out by Fuchs, and didnt like it. Big regrets!

Haven't you heard? All 70s Teles are crap...only kidding but there are those who say it.

Got my 73 (my avatar) in a trade while in high school when it was maybe 6 months old. Then sold it around 1980. Was able to buy it back about 10 years later for $425. It's sweet (especially after Rob DiStefano worked some magic) but the sentimental value is huge as well.

I'll know in 30 years if I got rid of anything I'll later regret. With the exception of an 84 Strat, all my gear has been made after 2005. And of that, they were mostly Asian.

Life is too short to dwell on regrets from the past. My life only moves in one direction: forward.

I've never regretted selling anything, but I have regretted buying equipment and not getting what I really wanted because I didn't want to spend the money. Getting what you want the first time turns out to be less expensive.

Great getting a guitar back after ten years. My '72 Am Standard Tele is still one of my faves.

Never really had anything real cool except a '72 Silverface Bassman 50 at one time in the early 80's when I first started playing that I practically gave away.

I also regret letting go of a '98 Cali Series Strat that was pretty sweet, and now they are fast becoming collectible. It was a real nice player.
