Got this a week or so ago. Great line up. Some good tunes and a couple of SRV tunes. I wondering if anybody had a listen and I'm curious what others thought.

I like the studio cd version better, where I usually rather hear live versions.

I picked up a copy a few months ago and enjoyed it. I liked the version of “Blackbird” that was made to sound like an “old” recording. My only gripe is that I would have preferred hearing someone else other than KWS on the SRV tunes. Granted, I was/am a big SRV fan from “back in the day” who was fortunate to see him up close and never got into KWS so it just seems redundant to me. Others may like his take and it’s all good with me.

No, I agree about KWS. I wanted to see a different take on the songs. He has technique, but he lacked...I guess it would be, any further vision for the tunes. There is some good music overall. I'm glad I got it.

Reese was on the first recording I ever made, a vinyl 45 for Bob Rose.
RW and drummer Wes Starr really lifted the session.
