I've never worked harder on a fretboard, and with no frets! But today they met Helmsman

And the back

Next stop, cloth

Cloth glued to the sides, not even trimmed fully but when done Polycrilic will be next as the base coat

Trimmed and coated with Polycrilic, gluing the top cloth is next . Then will varnish the back and headstock. After that I guess we'll see lol

Got all the edges glued today. Will trim when dry then apply Polycrilic, lightly sand then varnish the entire body

Back and sides varnished, hopefully enough left for the front

Well the top is varnished, I'll have so many "nubbies" to sand off it won't be funny. But it'll have to be, I'm doing Varithane for the "shine"

Varithane on back, sides and headstock. Also working out the hardware, which is harder than it looks

Getting first coat of Varithane on the top, second on the sides and headstock

Second coat on back and top. I think that may be enough

Now to cut the pickup route a little deeper and line everything up. Will have to wait until payday to get my birch dowels, then the REALLY tedious part begins

Weeeell my take on a Weissenborn, itself a strange bird but with me of course, nothing is so weird I can't make it weirder

Getting my blade posts measured and glued in. Also installing tuners

Last coat (hopefully) of Varithane and the tuners . Black and gold, my favorite

Mounted the nut and prepared the pickup and jack (still need some orangewood dowel, cut off wooden spoons are great )
