Eric H. is a [email protected]! End of story.

    And Redd is the King.

There's worse places than Austin, for sure.

Ok, for a few reasons I had put the guitar down for 27 years. About 3 years ago my wife and I were walkin' through our local flea market and passing the used cd and cassette guy. He had some great sounding twang coming from his l'il boombox. Asked, and it was something called Telewacky. Bought the cassette for a buck. Soon after called MF and ordered up a Squier, then found this site.
Been havin' a blast relearning the instrument and playin' it completely different than I used to. Best dollar I ever spent....thanks Redd.

Two of my best friends were married in Austin in 2007 (the bride's hometown) and they hired Earl Poole Ball, Johnny Cash's piano man, to play the reception. Earl plays in Heybale with Redd. Some of the other band members previous commitments for the evening fell through, so Earl brought the whole band including Redd. What a nice wedding surprise! Those videos are good, but if you haven't seen him live, don't miss the chance.

Last year I saw him utterly take the roof off of Ginny's Little Longhorn, a true Texas beer bar up on Burnet Rd in Austin. Jaws dropped, women fainted, the dead danced. Holy crap, what a player.

Awesome DVD. And great licks to steal, err borrow.

Thanks Redd! And I love Cindy Cashdollar - just as amazing on those lap steels and that Double 8.

No Redd material, but I asked Ms. Cashdollar to marry me the first time I saw her (with Levon Helm).

    She turned me down, sigh.
