I've been a big fan of Redd Volkaert for years. Does anyone have any good Reddisms, stories or other good stuff to share? Hi Redd! (If you're around).
    Cheers!!

I ate w/ Redd in a Diner in Annapolis...and let's just say he has a "Way" with the Female servers....(They Luv him).......;)
Plus his obvious Musical skills...He's just a Great down to earth Guy, w/ a Dry sense of Humor...that's all I got.

Met him and Chihoe Hahn at Hill Country Barbecue here in NYC. Lovely fellers, both of 'em.

I'm a relatively new Redd fan being a recent country convert and having learned about him here. I love his tune Redd White & Blue. Others too but coming from a blues back ground this one really caught my attention.

I love his music too..... and he amazes me with those huge fingers and being so good!!
Hell he amazes me just listening to it,, then you see how well.... huge his fingers are and how effortless it "LOOKS"...... Simply amazing!!!

I still think he should call one of his cd's

"Redd Volkaert, King of the Flying Sausages"

of course only guitar players would get the joke.

    Redds Mitts:

Here are some of my comments after getting Jazzed seeing the Home in San Antone Vid.

    Regarding hands:
"His mitts have little arms with biceps instead of fingers I think."

    Regarding the guitar neck:
    "
I vowed to shut up completely and totally about any possible consideration of 'it' being any kind of negative [excuse for me] after watching Redd 'Meat Hooks' Volkeart diddle like so"

'it' being frets, radius, nut width, neck profile...
