The Youtube gear demo guy Mike Hermans uses them in a lot of his demos (aside from demos of red plate amps themselves). He might answer questions about them, I don't know.

Really nice amps (check, “The Gear Page” for more responses on Red Plate Amps).

I had a Red Plate Blackverb Combo at home, for a try-before-you-buy weekend.

A really nice and good sounding amp, but I return it after the trial. I had already vintage Fender:and Marshall amps that covered most of the amps sounds.

I saw Elvin Bishop play one. Sounded great.!
I think there is now a Tommy Castro version.

Wonderful amps. Lots of switches, but they all make sense and are easy to dial in along with very intelligent speaker outs/ohm selector, line out, bias points, etc that all amps should have. I think the Blackverb may be a better fit for you if you are after that twin reverb sound with options and another great channel. Tweedyverb is based on a tweed preamp although the mode switch will likely get you a sound you would love.

Last time I saw him (Tommy Castro and the Pain Killers) playing at at a local joint, he was playing through a RedPlate :)

One of the guys at red plate Henry, was an amp tech in Omaha for quite a while, and as a result some of the guys around Omaha own play and rave about red plate amps. I think they are about as good as amplifiers get, I know that they replaced some extremely picky player's Carrs/Dr Z's/Tonemasters etc around here.

i reached out to order one and they told me they are no longer taking orders so I'd have to buy on the used market. May affect long term resale value if that matters to you
