A tough road. I wish you the best. I envy your determination and positive attitude. Having Parkinson's I know that not every day is easy and some are worse. Hang in there, and I hope you can get to a very high level of rehab.

Glad to have you back. I've had some set backs to my recovery lately. Everyday is different and some days are better then others. On the upside, I believe that my prosthisis will be ready Monday. Lots of PT ahead.

Good luck with your recovery. I know that without the good wishes, prayers and general outpouring of love from friends and family, I wouldn't be here today. It sounds like you had a similar experience.

My Dad had a bad one, but fought hard, and was an inspiration with the amount of recovery. He had almost 40 years on you, teleamp, so with your tender young age going for you, expect a miracle. The whole thing, swallowing, speaking, walking, even playing the piano, he got back. I know that prayer helped, so you've got that going for you, too. Best of luck, and God bless.

Glad to hear your doing ok and have a new found strength. Being able to adapt to limitations in life is one of the purest traits of a true survivor.

Great to hear you're on the road to recovery.

You might be interested in checking out Edwyn Collins formerly of Orange Juice. He suffered a stroke in 2005 leaving him in a pretty bad way including serious speech problems as well as paralysis in his right arm but by 2010 he was back performing and has just released his second album written and recorded since his stroke.

    Very inspiring.

Teleamp (and Paul in C), do what they tell you to do and do it when you have to and you will get through this stuff.
Positive thoughts to both of you.

A friend of mine who is a guitarist/singer had a stroke at the same age.

It's affected his ability to play, but he still gets up there and strums and sings - working out a few new inversions that make it easier for him to play!

He's been fine ever since, and very positive about it all, even if it is frustrating sometimes.

Good luck to you and stay healthy.

I suffered a stroke too this year. Coming this close to dying and coming back has a way to teach us a little wisdom about our human condition. Look ahead and smile.
