Me and the band did a marathon run of recording 11 songs in 48 hours last weekend. It's gonna be our next album scheduled for a late May release.

All live recording on reel-to-reel, but some overdubs due to technical issues. This is the gear I packed for the trip. I came to use the Telecaster almost exclusively. I played the Les Paul for one song. And the Sheraton for two. The rest was Tele. Telecasters rule!

I brought my tweed Blues Junior but ended up playing everyting through a 1970 Silverface Deluxe Reverb i found in the studio. Sounded bloody awesome.

Wow productive weekend. Well done you and the Fender kit!

How are you guys planning to master from the reel to reel mixes? Just curious. Would love to hear a before and after segment.

It's a Squier Classic Vibe stock but changed the cap to a 47 PIO and the bridge to a Duncan Donahue.

Thank you! It all went great, and I get from your questions that you know a thing or two about studio recordings. It was a mamoth task and I’m really glad we pulled it off (I had some serious doubts I must say).

We recorded it to a Studer A820, 24 track reel-to-reel, with 2” tape. The studio we’re using have a Studer A80 for mastering. So it’s tape all the way. Then we’re gonna press it all on vinyl. But we’re not against modern stuff so the album will be out on Spotify, iTunes, Tidal and such too.

Great to hear you are mastering to tape too. Very best wishes with your album and keep us all posted please .

PS I have a Jerry D in a Tele and it's a cracker. Really meaty.
