The plan:
DiMarzio Bluesbucker as neck pickup
DiMarzio Area T bridge
Standard three-way switch, one volume, one tone.
I do use middle switch position.

The problemo:
DiMarzio recommends 500K pots for the Bluesbucker, but 250K pots for the Area T (with .022uF caps on both.)

The possible implementations:
500K pots for both volume and tone.
250K pots for volume and tone.
500K for volume and 250K for tone.
Just pick two pots at random from the drawer and play.
Concentric 500K volume+tone pot for the Bluesbucker and concentric 250Ks for Area T.

I’ve never used Area T (the Bluesbucker is great.) I’m inclined to just use 500K pots for volume and tone, but would love to hear your opinions. Thanks!

I would use the recommended values. But if you think the pickups sound too bright, you could use a lower value. Or use a higher value if you want them brighter. My 2018 Nashville Deluxe with Vintage Noiseless pickups has 1Meg pots.

I would go 500k for V & T pots - although the T pot isn't as critical. Use the 0.022 caps as suggested, and tweak if needed. If too bright, the bridge pickup can be tamed a little with its own resistor.
