I am using a Danelectro BLT, but it's getting a bit long in the tooth. Right now the switch no longer works, and it's always on.

I am looking for slap back only, no space delays. Budget if possible. Say, under $100.00?

I’ve used a Dano FAB slap back- super super cheap. But no true bypass. Sounded good though.

Any delay will do a decent slapback.
For some reason Analog delays sound better to me for this application than digital ones.

I really like the Boss DM2/3.
    Old ones, new ones.
Both are great, and new (Waza) reissues are fairly cheap, especially used.
Very “warm” and somewhat “reverb-ey”, IMO.

For many years I used an MXR Carbon Copy set short and really enjoyed it. They seem to go for $80 to $100 used around here. It wasn’t until I started wanting some big, spacey sounds with crisp repeats that I ever found it lacking, went nuts, and spent for a Flight Time.

Wow I was going to say the danelectro dan echo- the best slap I have ever found-and much more rugged than the one you have.

Danelectro Fab Echo does a raunchy, Sun Studios type slapback, and I think it's like $35.

I had an 80s DM-3 that was magic, just worked for slap like nothing else. I sold it when I got a Mystery Brain, ah well. I had the new Ibanez mini analog and it would compress too much. Decent but nah, couldn’t get rid of it fast enough.

Used waza DM-2 is my recommend for the budget, but looks like you’ll need to stretch it a little. On that note, a used W-H Aqua Puss can be had for less than 100.

Pretty much anything'll do for slapback. I use a Joyo 'Digital' delay. The quote marks are because it may claim to be, and indeed be, digital, but it sure as hell sounds analogue-y to me. Square thing, sort of bronze in colour.
For another alternative, the Behringer Vintage Delay is very good. Not good for the money, or any of that malarkey and justification, just plain good.
The endless stream of Far Eastern mini pedals are worth dangling a line into as well. I think the collective noun for them is a confusion of pedals, there's just so many.

Way Huge Aqua Puss. Mine is always on. Great pedal, top jacks to boot. Got used on reverb 3 years ago for $125. Prob cheaper now. There’s also a “mini” aqua puss too.

Dan Echo if you find one for a good price. Just don’t loan it to a “friend.” Trust me, I know. I’ve tried the Behringer VD400, and almost bought it, but I wanted tap tempo, so I went with a Donner Tap Delay. I mostly use slap back, but it doesn’t hurt to have other capabilities, and I’ve never used a delay that couldn’t do slap back.

I'm in the Dan Echo camp also, got one new way back when, at that time I A/B'ed several pedals with my old solid state Echoplex tape unit, and the Dan Echo came closest to my ears. Bought another, used one since ($50), as one problem they can develop is a bad connection at the output jack, due to the jack being hard-soldered directly to a board, which led to some annoying gig moments with loud cracking at the slightest jiggle of the cable. More recently I picked up a TC Electronics Flashback ($150) which has a lot more features and sounds good and seems rugged enough, but have actually been hankering to go back to the DEchos sound which is a crisper slapback; the Flashback echo setting drenches the sound a bit more.

I like the MXR echoplex delay, it's probably a bit pricey new for what it is but I got mine used.
