My mojo hand nebula bit the biscuit. Not it's fault, it had a poorly anchored shelving unit fall on it... Another story.

So I'm looking to replace. I actually never loved the nebula, but had a taste of phase and it will be missed at times.

Is the warmth of something like the phase 45 the way to go? Or should I opt for versatility with something like a Wampler terraform? Then I get 10 other mods. But I won't have that chewy organic analog phaser.

I like 1 great sound over 11 pretty decent sounds. But is that the situation?

My favorite phaser is the Phase 45, more subtle and a little warmer than the Phase 90. The reissue isn't great (I don't think they make it anymore), so I opted for the script Phase 90 on my board. $20 difference between the block and script, maybe a 5% improvement. I use phaser quite a lot, so 5% is worth it.

That's what I was looking at earlier today. I'm curious if it does a faithful phase 45 and 90? Or a compromise?

I primary use it in the Phase 90 setting with Script on for '70s country stuff. I occasionally will use the 45 setting like a vibe for bluesy stuff, also with Script on. I think it sounds excellent, but I have to admit that I was originally more concerned with versatility and size when I bought it.

Fair enough. Good info, thanks! I might go that route. I just don't want to miss out on life changing phaser if that exists!!

I’ve been wanting a phaser for a while myself and have thought about getting a mxr phase 100 since you can change the wave (?)

Or a boss phaser or.... a Bad Stone

    I haven’t decided yet

I always found that phasers with no volume control always cause a boost, or diminish my volume. They never seem to be at unity.

I really like the Bubbletron by Keeley. Can do warm rich phaser sounds but can also do flanger, and psychedelic synth sounding effects. Very versatile.

Check out the J Rockett Tranquilizer. I'm more of a flanger guy myself, but if I was to own a phaser, it would probably be that phase/vibe pedal.

I had an mxr micro chorus that just sounded fantastic. Volume jump was irritating though, enough to sell it. Perhaps a mistake, but it is a good point raised.

    I guess that’s the one

Every time you post something I look at your avatar and think “how could someone with a chihuahua like that be wrong?”

Reminds me of my dads dog

Back in the day I had a DOD Phaser, but I liked what I was hearing from EVH and wanted the Phase 90.

The Phase 95 looks like a great deal to have both the 90 and 45 in there. I'd probably go for that MXR 95.

I have a small stone, does the job, but not sure how it stacks up to the others mentioned.

Bad Stone. My choice for stranded on a desert island with only one pedal.
