The three main albums by Arthur Lee and Love often go into my 5 disc CD player, those being their self-titled debut, De Capo, and Forever Changes.

I was reminded of this thread this evening while kicking back and listening to some James Talley records. There are no throwaway cuts on any of them, just well written and beautifully played soulful country blues bliss. My favorite is Ain't It Somethin'.

Anything by George Strait, man has a giant catalog and every song is good.

Could not agree more, thought about him awhile the other night after ‘..Ft Worth...’ came up in shuffle.

My faves will always be from that era (dozens to choose from) and I admittedly haven’t heard a whole lot of his stuff since the 90s, but every time I have run into something new by him it’s been unmistakably George Strait and just perfectly produced.

I’ve really been enjoying Ry Cooder’s latest, The Prodigal Son.

And I just bought one of his compilations - River Rescue, The Very Best Of Ry Cooder.
