Guys, I'm looking for the classic 5 watter with 8" spkr and 6v6/5y3/12ax7 configuration hand wired.
    New, not used.

    Fire away!

    Besides the Fender Champ?

    Gibson GA-5
    Firebelly Tweed Jr.

Really, pretty much every clone builder offers a tweed champ these days. The current Fender offering is a good one as well (57 champ).

There seem to be loads of these out there, and you probably can't go wrong with most of them. If I were in the market for a 5f1 clone that I wasn't going to build myself, I'd give this one a hard look: http://www.littledawgamps.com/the-champster/

It may not look the part, but the Allen LF is a Champ with a raw control that will change it from tweed to BF. All for $850!

That thing is legit! What a great amp! My only gripe is with the demonstration video. I wish the guy had shown us more a range of its tones, and we never get to see where he's set his controls. The video kept panning to an amp that was off, with all the knobs set at noon. Still... sounds great.

Thanks, I'll look into it. The Fender stuff is absurdly overpriced.

I prefer and recommend the Princeton version. I like having a tone control.

Actually, the price is pretty comparable. It's within $50 when you compare apples to apples.

Base price of the Lil Dawg is without speaker and you could argue that the Fender has an upgraded transformer (add Weber speaker and upgrade OT and I came to $940 before shipping)

For a minimal price difference, I'd take the genuine Fender with a 5 Year Warranty.

I love my EC Vibrochamp. Held it's value pretty good too...

Otherwise, reach out to MuchXS. If you're gonna go custom, do it up right.
