Interesting . I had never heard this , thanks .
Oops , forgot the quote above ...Many people aren't aware that Billy was offered Don't You Forget About Me before Simple Minds. Don't know if he would have been featured in Breakfast Club film, but he declined. He has performed it live, with Steve on guitar.
Always felt his solo career was somewhat of a joke.
It's Hot in the City for me. Nice lope, lush synth , great backup singers.
Even the "I walk the walls f'you babe (babe, babe)" part?
For the longest time I thought that was a cover of a Neil Diamond song
it feels very Neil-ish to me
stuff along this line, I guess, just feels like it has similar elements as Hot in the CityCurious, do you have a similar Neil Diamond song in mind? There's a couple of his songs I don't mind.
This track has some really cool guitar stuff happening in it. Like I said, Steve Stevens is seriously underrated as a guitarist/composer/arranger.
This is my favorite from the album that's fromIn the other band I'm in we play LA Woman, but based on Billy Idol's cover
that vid was originally shot out at the Coral Castle, which is a very intriguing story in and of itself. The guy apparently discovered the secrets of the building of the pyramids, and took that to his graveSweet Sixteen
Also, the official vid for that song features Steve playing a Roland GR-707, one of the coolest retrowave guitars ever.
Here's mine

Yeah, I don't have the floor unit/processor, just the guitar/controller.Holy crap. Never even seen one in the flesh.
I dont hear that at all.Even the "I walk the walls f'you babe (babe, babe)" part?
I play Rebel Yell the rock variety band I'm in. People dig it, and also we do it well. The guitar intro is a real attention getter.
In the other band I'm in we play LA Woman, but based on Billy Idol's cover which has a great temp and drive.
Rebel Yell isolated guitar(s) and space effect...
