I'm going to look and play it tomorrow before I purchase. Seller says there are no serial numbers visible on the guitar. Any thoughts from someone who knows telecasters? Looks like a partscaster version of a 50’s tele. The truss rod adjustment should be at the heal of the neck, the neck plate is wrong, the neck humbucker looks really cheap, looks good but not a real fender vintage reissue

Second fake of the night I've commented on.

The bridge and neck plate might be legit, but the wood parts aren't.

Thanks! I was thinking it was a partscaster after doing some research. I know the neckplate and saddle bridge aren't original. Hopefully it plays well and sounds good, looks nice.

He's asking 450. Hundred bucks!!! You think it's even worth going to try and play it? I don't really want to waste my time.

Finish looks rough. Area around the neck plate looks off as well.

You could probably get that in a pawn shop for $200.

450 is too much. You can get a nice used MIM for that if you're patient. My CV 50s is a very nice guitar, and a brand new one is less than that at Sweetwater.

Looks like a parts guitar to me. The neck is certainly a cheapy, probably chinese. The seller could very well have $400 into it, but like all partsers, value of the sum is less than the parts. I would definitely prefer a $450 Squier.

Those photos were a letdown and certainly not what I had in mind when I clicked on this title.

The 12th fret neck dots are spaced too far apart. It looks like Asian manufactured neck.

It looks like a very nice partscaster. I'd buy it.

Obviously it needs to be checked out in person, but if it was sound I'd take a punt myself. I agree that 450 seems too much; plenty of bargaining room.

If there is a verifiable list of what parts are on it and those are decent to higher end, possibly the $450.
It doesn't appear that much visually. If the body is 1-9/16" - 1-5/8" thick then a Squier style.
If -3/4" + the US spec.. Either way you should play it and see how that is.

I'd be willing to bet that neck is a Mighty Mite, from the plastic truss rod insert, 12th fret spacing, and size of the dots. Looks like no grainfiller on the body from the back shot. Could be Mighty Mite as well. Not necessarily bad, but definitely not Fender.
