I'm sensing, in regards to the 'Les Paul Nocaster' thing, that the OP isn't very knowledgeable about guitars in general. It's not his 'thing'. I think he's in the business currently of trying to sell his father's guitar.

It's only April but this is a standout as the most confusing thread of the year... so far.

These types of discussions make me feel alive... with pleasure.

I actually came across this listing a while back, but I don't remember if it was on the bay or on the R, or elsewhere??? Still, it's been a while ago but I know I saw it somewhere because, being a Twitty fan, I wanted to look up the Jokers and all the other things the listed stated. So... that's how I remember seeing this somewhere before. Like others have said, 35K for a refin etc. ouch. Just too risky out there these days to just plunk down big wompum via a computer screen, not that I could afford to anyway! LOL!!! ;)

I am not sure if this is rude or not but do not care. The OP did as many trolls do, and posted a confusing and convoluted story that appears on the surface to have some validity. Then upon further review, and with rational contemplation we realize that it is either a scam, a setup or somehow the story and the teller cannot express the information clearly.

When I read the story I am sorry for someones father and his death from cancer. I am sorry that he passed, and that he has an interesting partscaster which may or may not be a nocaster, and may or may not be partially original or completely fake.

What I do not understand is why the inability to simply answer a few simple questions, clarify the details and make it easy for us to understand what is going on, instead of ghosting us with 4 posts and none which make any sense.

BTW when this crap happens it makes these auctions appear legitimate because it raises the views per hour, and increases the interest in what otherwise might be a joke post.

I tend to think he's stumbled over this guitar forum and cried out "hey guys, did you know that hendrix played a stratocaster left handed?"
If I would join a, say, Harley Davidson forum I would prefer to listen a year or so before making a fool of myself.

    A personal remark.

You know, it's not worth it arguing about such stupid things.
The reason I started posting here is because I don't like my time to be wasted. There's a chance that a stupid OP might get corrected/explained. But it's a weakness with me that I can't leave it uncommented when my time/attention is being misused.

And sometimes it's beginning to be funny, thanks guys.

When I saw it with no replies last night and couldn’t figure what to respond to, being such a barrel of fish; I wondered if it would be gone by morning.

I’m still not sure really, could be one of our lurking fans who finally joined and posted what he thought we would all enjoy.
    Or some whole other thing?

The OP is not the owner of that guitar, or the Ebay seller AFAIK.
Could be a friend or family member selling it though?

Anyone who pays $20-50k for a plank of wood just because it was made 70 years ago in southern California by Mexicans who are dead now is truly INSANE

I'm not inclined to conspiracy theories. However, in a grander universe of possibilities, what the hell else is he up to? I mean, the most inane, obtuse post I've seen in ages. He should be blocked. It's all fake. What 99.99% of what we post here isn't fake. It might be mundane in the grander scheme of issues, but it's not fake!

    You weren't being rude.
And yeah, we're all still curious about Les Paul's Nocasters.

Well sure but Tadeo was one bad hombre!

Almost as cool as some of those Robert Rodriguez movie characters!
