Heard that the new Fender releases include a reissue of the George Harrison Rosewood Tele, likely under $3k.
Also saw a new Japanese Vintage modified series - updated versions of the early 80s MIJ guitars including a 60s Custom Tele in Firemist Gold.

ya..with all due respect..i'd get someone from this site to build me one 1st..for that kind of money..but still..would like to have the harrison tele
Getting a rosewood Tele body and neck already cut and shaped will likely be over $1,000 on it's own. To get the rest of the correct parts will get you real close to $1,500, plus a G+G case. That's just parts, not labor to put it together correctly.

I'm building it for my brother.

It's fascinating how much "Let It Be" impacted our time. I'd thought The Beatles were fading from the collective consciousness, but now Casinos are desirable and sold out and Fender is issuing a Harrison Tele. I wonder if Fender Twins and Hofner basses have also spiked in value.

Is there any other band who could possibly impact our culture so much if a "lost" documentary about them from over 50 years ago was released?

I bet that in ten years or so we'll read about hot young musicians who started playing because they saw Let It Be.

I would not be surprised if they decide to go with a rosewood cap instead of solid rosewood at that price.

I love that tele, but with the rosewood issue still on the radar, that will have to be a compromised build for less than $3k.

That’s sweet!

Wish I would have gotten one of those Harrison’s first time round

There used to be a member here with one, you don’t see too many of them
