Yesterday evening I visited a Greg Koch clinic for the new Hal Leonard books. Man this guy can play! What opened my eyes really, as my ears, and also a big can of worms was when he mentioned the pickups in his Tele which looked to me like the Joe Barden doubleblades. They were infact from a guy named Ray Gerold and the pickups seem to be the "california bourbons". He seems to live in Germany, near Karlsruhe. After a little search in the web I found em at about 500 euros!!!!! DUH!!!
Anybody already playing them? Worth considering?They are switchable from single coil to humbucker, and they -he sounded really fantzastic through a vibrolux. Anyone out there to bring light in the darkness?
