always thought they were the same... they are not... both are highly trainable...

in an amusement park in france, they have trained ravens to pick up cigarette butts.

both can and will mess you up.

The cigarette butts will mess you up, that’s for sure.
    Both beautiful birds

There were ravens (or big-ass crows) on Camp Pendleton that used to scare the crap out of me. They were big...I thought they were the flying monkeys from Wizard of Oz first time I saw them.

Yup, lots of people get them confused. It wasn't until I saw one of each stuffed, side by side at the old visitor center at Mesa Verde about 25 years ago, that I understood the differences enough to spot easily from a distance. Some areas it is obvious from overall size, but up here the crows are very large.

I love Ravens. Have huge ones up here in the forest around my house. Sometimes they make this loud clucking sound that sounds like knocking on a drummer's hollow wood block. It's a very cool sound, and something very comforting about it to me. SOme Raven types have very big long bills as opposed to crows.
Both Crows and Ravens have been proven to be very smart and readily recognize one person from another.

I feed the birds in my back yard , seeds for the little guys , sparrows , oriels, chickadees ,
peanuts for the jays , magpies and crows , and occasionall Grouse
the Jays would sing to me and
the crows started leaving coloured beads around my deck as a gift , really smart birds and cunning , never let your guard down.

Ravens have a place of honour at the Tower of London.

Legend has it, if the ravens leave, the Tower will fall.

    They're kinda well looked after.

...and someone has to do this:

Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!

...I got my Old Crow liquor...

Yellowstone has an unusually dense population of ravens.

I don't know much about ravens, but shooting crows out in the county here is no limit. Big time fun with the kids...especially if you can wing one crow and use it to bait the others!!!

An unkindness of ravens vs a murder of crows?

I once saw the Jayhawks open up for the Black Crowes.

I also once saw Dez Dickerson's (Prince's early-days guitarist) band Maserati in a club called Ferrari's, in Wausau WI .

Another reason the native Americans don’t like us.

yeah the Ravens are possibly my all-time favorite group of their genre. Wait, maybe the Clovers
