I sprayed a base coat of white...then sprayed the neon green. Once dry, I sprayed the black in sections and while it was wet, dabbed with a plastic grocery bag. I am really pleased with the result. I think it is going to look great after about five coats of clear and buffed out. Grabbed the paint from Home Depot...looking forward to trying some more rattle can paint tricks. 71775577_2457284317884842_6223510055463944192_o.jpg 73216511_2457284344551506_5061253224690876416_o.jpg 74893728_2457289617884312_5800345198579941376_n.jpg

That looks really cool. It will be interesting to see how many coats of clear you need to make a nice smooth surface. Definitely works for that guitar style.

Wow! That's amazing. I wouldn't think you could get such a uniform and intricate effect like that. The shape of the green marks that came through vary so much-rounds, blocks, squares, rectangles, and, all of those long, thin green marks to tie it together.

I want some of what your taking. Need-create-boost* !!

I'm using your thread title for some lyrics to a song.

Oh BTW, that is astounding results from your technique. Quite artistic. Thanks for sharing.

pretty sure some classmates of mine used this same method to get high...

that turned out really cool. i love the way the steaks kinda fade in and out... reminds me of long exposure photography of fireflies...

Excellent marbling effect. That could look good on a tele, maybe with a butterscotch and brown two-tone.

Can't wait to see the finished product. Can you show a mock up of how you did the bag....I'm not the brightest crayon in the box!

hahaha...you guys crack me up! I didn't think about the implications of the title

For paint I used the 2 in 1 Rustoleum on the shelf at Home Depot. I found the technique while studying at U of Y (University of Youtube)...basically spray and dabb the wet paint with a wadded up plastic bag...it does get messy. I am building this for my 13yo grandson...he is a metal head to the core!

Very cool, I've seen similar things done using lace overlay.
That green is glowing, looks great with the black.
